Repeat Prescriptions

If you have regular medication for a condition that your doctor is aware of, you can periodically collect a repeat prescription from the practice without having to make an appointment.

Repeat prescription requests can be handed in, in the following ways:

  • By Post

Alternatively you can order online via the link at the top of this page. New users are required to complete a simple registration form prior to using this service.

Please drop your prescription request form with the items clearly marked through the letterbox any time of the day or night.

Non-urgent advice: Notice

Please note, as per guidance from the East Leicestershire & Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group, we do not accept third party prescription requests unless you are housebound.

For example, we do not accept prescription requests made from pharmacies such as Lloyds, Echo etc. unless you are housebound; if you are not then you must order your prescription via our online services or in writing to the reception.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review their regular medications and notification of this should appear on your prescription.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to review your medications to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow at least two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

Please allow 48 hours for your prescription to be processed. Telephone requests may not be accepted.

Ordering Repeat Prescriptions Online

If you have an online account you can order your repeat prescriptions online. Please speak to our reception staff for more information on setting up an online account.
