Clinical Commissioning Group [CCG]

Our practice is part of a local Clinical Commissioning Group who plan and manage most local health care services.

Following a change to the Health and Social Care Act, primary care trusts (PCTs) were abolished and the new clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), led by GPs, took over the responsibility for planning and managing health care for their local population.

CCGs aim to improve the way the local NHS engages and communicates with our patients, public, clinicians, staff, partners and other stakeholders.
